Kyle had agreed to help on a fishing boat during his leave, wanting a bit of extra cash to buy his mom a few birthday presents while not having to go too much into his bank account.

He'd grown up helping his dad and uncle fish, so he knew what he was doing.

He'd gone around the boat, pulling up the nets because the captain said they were going back to the docks, and as he approached the last one, leaning down to peek in, he froze.
