for whatever reason his father had betrothed him to a Hightower woman, ugh, doesn’t he know how the Hightowers caused the destruction of their house, their ancestry and their dragons?! this infuriated Aerion, stuck with a Hightower of all families to be married into. He had displayed his dismay to this betrothal and marriage, so much that he even refused to bed her on their wedding night, and tried to force her to drink wildfire, because if she was a worthy wife, she would survive, though luckily the prince was talked out of such rash decision, even if it took a huge amount of convincing.
