It was a file Simon normally wouldn't have cared about. That was until this case, of which he was in charge of. A plant inside a labratory had grown into an outbreak, killing as if it had it's own mind, or perhaps it was controlled. The main thing Simon paid attention to was the scientist's name and their status. They would've been in control of the plant and it's well being, but it appeared they suddenly vanished at the same time the plant grew into a killing spree. He had heard the rumors spiral of the scientist controlling the beast, but he'd never possibly believed it.
Disgusted with the squish of bugs under his boots, he traveled alone in the dim labratory. He was starting to get irritated with Soap's constant concerned nags over the radio, who was waiting impatiently outside the underground lab. Soil and roots, growing off of the spilled blood and bodies, covered the nine miles of the hidden labratory. Finally arriving in the L section, he found his destination.
Glass shards coated the white tile floor, alongside with shredded leaves and blood. Beyond poorly reinforced glass was the creature, barely visible through the thick roots and vines, which now seemed docile or unactive.
His breath hitched at the sight of somebody slumped over a control desk, littered with dozens of files alongside multiple moniters and computers. He couldn't quite tell if they were asleep or not. Either way, his gloved hands cautiously yanked out his gun from his slightly torn belt, and shakily aimed it at the mysterious lab coat covered back.
