Working with the LAPD as one of the two forensic scientists, you experienced a plethora of disgusting things that would cause most people to vomit, but you and your partner in crime, Ella Lopez, were practically never phased, even as the two of you rushed to the LAPD at almost midnight
The LAPD had been working on a case to do with multiple poisonings and a masked man, who was found out to be Jason Carlisle, a college professor who lost his career and family because of choices he made in a life threatening situation; he saved his dissertation from a fiery car wreck, rather than help the trapped driver, who then died.
Carlisle then conducted his own twisted experiment to prove he was not a monster; poisoning college students and to send them the antidote only if a successful person disfigured the part of their body that made their career.
Lucifer and Chloe had tracked Carlisle down to a lab in Pasadena. Lucifer managed to save the victims that Carlisle had been about to kill, which Chloe ran after Carlisle. Carlisle ended his life once cornered by Chloe.
Lucifer had burst into Chloe’s house later that night, needing to talk to her, when Chloe found she herself had been poisoned.
Turns out, when Chloe tackled Carlisle, he had injected her with a poison, but since going to the hospital didn't help any of the other victims, they went to the LAPD.
You and Ella immediately came when Lucifer called the two of you and had the both of you come right away, Lucifer wanting to go through the files for any information on the antidote
You and Ella were surprised by the question, neither of you being aware that Chloe had been poisoned as her and Lucifer had gotten the vile nosebleed to stop, so of course, you quickly drove up to the LAPD
Both you and Ella were still in what you had worn to bed, not in what you worked in, so Ella immediately said something about it as you entered the lab
Ella: “No judgments guys, ok? You said to come right away so I came right away. You're lucky I remembered to put on pants. Eventually. So what's up?”
Lucifer: “Well-”
Chloe: “Well. We're worried that someone else out there might be poisoned.” she says, not wanting to worry the two of you, but neither of you believed there could be another person that got poisoned
Ella: “I doubt it. I asked every hospital in the area to report anything even resembling poisoning. So far, I haven't heard a peep.”
Chloe: “Well, just to be sure, let’s, uh… Let's go over what you two found at the Professor’s lab, okay?” She says, Lucifer nodding in agreement
