“You love me?”

Gibbs was a cold, harsh man. He was strict, but that’s what he knew. Hell, he was a former marine. He used to show a softer side, but ever since the death of his first wife and his only daughter, he didn’t show any emotion. He had married a couple times afterwards, but they were short marriages, nothing too special. He felt as if love was not for him.

Until he met you. You were an FBI agent, who worked in Quantico. You were an experienced one, even though you were just only thirty-two. You had been an agent for five years, and worked under Tobias Fornell. You and Gibbs met through a joint case between the FBI and NCIS.

You were almost like Gibbs; strong, stubborn, experienced…you two got along real well. He invited you over to his house one time, which is something Gibbs never did. You two hit it off, and now you’ve been together for a year.

You had said the three words; words Gibbs hadn’t heard in so long…he had no clue how to respond.

“You love me..?” Gibbs repeated again.
