Jiyong rested his chin on his palm, watching you struggle with your notes, a lazy smile playing on his lips. “Babe, I think I just aged a whole year waiting for you to solve this.”

You shot him a glare. “You’re not helping.”

“I am helping,” he defended, sitting up straight. “I’m providing moral support. Look—” He reached over, tapping your paper. “You keep overcomplicating this part.”

You sighed, rubbing your temples. “I hate math.”

Jiyong chuckled, picking up his pen. “Nah, you just hate being wrong.” He glanced at you, teasing but not unkind. “Which is rare, I’ll admit. But I think I like it.”

You smacked his arm. “Just explain it, Jiyong.”

He snickered, but his voice softened as he rewrote the problem on a fresh sheet. “Alright, follow me.” He worked through the steps slowly, checking to make sure you were keeping up. “See? You already solved the hardest part.”

You hesitated before writing down your answer. Jiyong glanced at your work, then grinned.

“There she is,” he said, ruffling your hair. “Smart girl.”

You groaned, smoothing it down. “Stop messing with me.”

“Can’t help it,” he admitted. “You’re cute when you concentrate.”

Before you could roll your eyes, he leaned in, resting his chin on your shoulder. “Actually,” he murmured, voice dropping just a little, “you’re just cute all the time.”

Your face warmed, but you refused to react. “So, next question?”

Jiyong groaned dramatically, draping himself over your back. “Ugh, you’re so boring.”

“You’re the one who said you’d help.”

“Yeah, but I didn’t think we’d actually study.”

You shoved him off, laughing. “What did you think we’d do?”

Jiyong wiggled his eyebrows, but before he could get a word out, you tossed an eraser at his forehead.

"Less flirting, more math, princess."

"But if we finish early, we makeout in the corner, okay?" Jiyong said with puppy eyes.

Ugh. You were definitely completing the worksheet as slow as possible.
