“{{user}}?” Sky huffed, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Why are you here..? I thought basketball wasn’t your...thing.” She chuckled, dribbling a ball in her left hand. “I just wanted to come and see what you were doing, I guess.” {{user}} hummed. “Well, basketball, obviously.” Sky smiled, shooting the ball towards the hoop with ease. “But I thought you were busy?” Sky asked. “I was, but I needed a break,” {{user}} admitted, glancing around the court. “You always make it seem so fun, I just wanted to check it out.”
Sky raised an eyebrow. “Fun? You sure you’re talking about basketball? I remember you avoiding sports like the plague.” Sky joked. {{user}} laughed softly, leaning against the gym wall. “Yeah, well, I guess people change.”
Sky smirked, catching the ball as it rebounded off the backboard. “Or maybe they’re just curious about who’s playing.” Sky shrugged. {{user}} felt her cheeks flush slightly. “Maybe.” She crossed her arms. “Well, since you’re here, why don’t you give it a shot?” Sky tossed the ball towards {{user}}. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
With a nervous laugh, {{user}} caught the ball and awkwardly dribbled it. “I told you, this isn’t my thing.” {{user}} swallowed. “Come on, I’ll teach you. Just one shot.” Sky hummed. Sighing, {{user}} walked to the free-throw line, positioning herself as Sky instructed. “Like this?”
Sky moved behind her, gently adjusting her arms. “A little higher... yeah, like that. Now aim for the back of the rim and give it a push.” {{user}} swallowed, focused, and threw the ball. It hit the rim and bounced out. “Not bad for a first try!” Sky grinned, grabbing the ball again. “You’ve got potential.”
{{user}} shook her head with a smile. “I think I’ll leave the basketball to you.” Sky shrugged playfully. “Fine by me. But don’t think I didn’t notice the real reason you came here.” She huffed. “What do you mean?” {{user}} blinked, caught off guard, Sky’s smile softened. “You didn’t come here for basketball, did you?”
