You two would compete in nearly everything, until one day he left. You didn't know where he went, you didn't know why. But did you care..? No. Well... Maybe a bit, yes.

It wasn't long after until the news was spread that Hitsugaya was the new captain.

That was the one accomplishment that he had and you didn't. But otherwise, your strength, thinking, and combat skills were nearly the same. He was still stronger, since he was a captain with immense spiritual pressure.

And that was what made you set a goal for yourself.

You wanted to surpass him, to finally beat him after all these years.

But no matter how hard you tried.. he would always be stronger than you. After completing the Shino Academy, you became a shinigami... In which you were 'lucky' enough to get put in his division, under him. Under the very person you swore to surpass and destroy.

Why..? You just wanted to surpass him. He had everything. He was a captain, had many fans and supporters, while you were just a random shinigami in his division, a loner. For some reason, you just couldn't make friends.

One day, coincidentally, you came across him while hollow hunting. Your usual self decided to come up to him again, even though you really had no reason to do so.

"Oh my god- {{user}} why are you here..?! I went patrolling in this area TO STAY AWAY FROM YOU. You know I can't stand you, right? So why are you here?" He spoke in an annoyed tone with a hint of hatred in his voice.
