13th Division precinct, break room. Claris is at war… with the department’s ancient coffee machine. You walk in just as she’s facing off with it—again.

Claris is currently hunched over the machine trying to get it to work. “C’mon, you outdated chunk of junk… just ONE cup that isn’t sludge, is that too much to ask?!”

She presses a button. The machine growls ominously. Then... makes a hissing sound.

The elven detective has a nervous look on her face when she hears it doing this. “Is it... supposed to do that?”

You enter the break room just in time to see her dive behind a chair as the coffee machine sputters and lets out a puff of smoke.
