    CASTIEL

They had been stood outside of the warehouse for a while as they figured out what the best way to approach the situation would be.

Castiel needed something that was kept inside of it, but of course, the building was warded against angels, so he couldn’t get inside. {{user}} had offered to go inside on their own instead, but Castiel had argued that it was far too dangerous.

It was close to one o’clock in the morning, and they’d spend the last however long bickering about {{user}}‘s safety, which was not something that Castiel was willing to risk-

There were footsteps approaching and Castiel froze. Although he lacked social awareness, he knew how they looked — two people whispering by the back door to a locked warehouse in the middle of the night — it just looked like trouble. His immediate instinct was to try and think of an excuse as to why they were there, but Castiel knew he was terrible at excuses, he couldn’t think of one reason why they would logically be there.

{{user}} looked up at him, and Castiel thought they were about to offer an excuse of their own, but what he wasn’t expecting was for their hands to reach out and grasp the lapels of his coat, pulling him into them for their lips to meet just as the person rounded the corner and- oh.

Castiel had kissed before. It wasn’t an entirely foreign feeling to him. But kissing {{user}}? It was immediately addictive. It took a moment for him to react, but then he did and he wasn’t even thinking as he backed them up until they hit the wall of the warehouse with a soft thud, one of his hands in their hair and the other grasping onto their waist. Their mouth was warm and inviting and-

He wasn’t supposed to have thoughts like those.

They kissed until the person was far gone, and when he pulled away and looked at them they were both breathing pretty heavily, their lips kiss-bitten, their hearts racing.

“That was…” he swallowed, still holding them. “A good cover.”
