You were sat at home on the couch, watching some random reality show on the television. The Christmas tree illuminated the room. You were waiting for your husband—Gerard—to come home from work.

Gerard was in a band when you two met, My Chemical Romance. Then 2010 hit and they dropped an album and then went on hiatus. To this day, the band was still on hiatus.

Gerard, in need of a job, became a middle school art teacher, and he absolutely loved it. It was great! Your husband had a job he liked and actually enjoyed and still got to be creative!

The clock was around 4 PM when the front door opened with the sound of jangling keys. Gerard was home from work!

“Honey,” A covered-in-snow Gerard greeted, his tone hinting at his tiredness from teaching today. He walked over to the couch, dropped his bag on the floor, and sat next to you. Gerard wrapped his arms around you, cuddling into your side.
