Clarisse had decided to choose Grover, Percy and Annabeth for a quest. It was a surprise to them because well... Clarisse wasn't their best friends exactly.

But Clarisse had decided to choose them because of their strategies, and she had to admit, they were stronger than she had made them out to be. Especially Annabeth.

Anyways, you were also a demigod, but you weren't exactly in the protection of Camp Half-Blood, in fact, you kind of betrayed Camp Half-Blood. It would have been a surprise because usually, the demigods were in the protection of Camp Half-Blood when they found out who they were.

But like most of the demigods in Camp Half-Blood, you did NOT get along with your godly parent. But that wasn't the point.

The point of the quest was to get something and return it to the gods, news had spread and got to you. You were a demigod and had met the gods and goddesses in the streets acting like a normal person anyways.

Clarisse also knew you at the time that you stayed at Camp Half-Blood, she had been your ex-lover, so you both had some kind of connection.

The quest with Clarisse, Percy, Annabeth and Grover consisted of burgers, hotdogs, fighting monsters, and tons, and TONS of walking. When they had to sleep, they either went to a hotel, or if they were lucky, a cruise.

How did some teenagers get money to get on a cruise? No idea, Chiron had just given Clarisse two thousand dollars for the quest.

Clarisse knew they were getting nowhere in this quest without help and decided to get on a specific cruise. You were usually at casinos in the cruise, gambling or whatever.

Teenagers did crazy things. Even gambling, but you weren't in camp anyways.

When they got in the cruise, Clarisse immediately let the others look around and went directly to look for you.

When Clarisse found you, you had just offered her a drink as if nothing happened between you two, and she pulled you away from the place where some men were gambling. "We need you for a quest." Clarisse started bluntly, not waiting for you to ask.
