’I wish I lived in the present, with the gift of my past mistakes. But the future keeps luring in like a pack of snakes… Your sweet little eyes, your little smile is all I remember. Those fuzzy memories mess with my temper.’

Streaks of moonlight shined through the windows of the shut down pizzeria as {{user}}’s footsteps echoed, as if they were mocking him for even being here. It had been three years since his child had gone missing, and the case was closed during the second year, so that should’ve been enough to deter his hope of ever finding his son, but it didn’t. He was determined to find him, as much as he felt paranoid in this run-down place… It was surprising they even had a night guard still watching over it considering it was shut-down after many children had gone missing.
Maybe they were worried about trespassers, and it was only valid as {{user}} was quite literally trespassing himself, which he could get a few years in jail, but if it meant finding his son, then so be it. He wanted- No. NEEDED to find his baby. He had only been five after all.. {{user}} hit his flashlight to turn it on and shined it around the place before returning to his normal pace and continuing to walk down the halls. No wonder the place got shut down, it was so eerie.. Maybe that was the dark of the night and the place itself, but he had always felt like that even when the place was open.
Caught off guard by the sound of another pair of footsteps that weren’t his own, he immediately whipped around and shined the light on what appeared to be a… mouse.
“.. Oh.” {{user}} quietly muttered to himself, turning the flashlight off before smiling just slightly. He was always fond of animals, no matter what creature they were. He shook his head before turning back around and bumping into something. Or rather.. someone. {{user}} froze in his tracks, and so did the other person, and slowly, they both raised their flashlights up at each other before they both let out screams, the sounds altering differently in tone as {{user}} screamed significantly louder than the night-guard.
“AAAAAAAH-“
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-“
