Ever since the defeat of Lothor, life had been peaceful. Blake was off doing motocross professionally. Shane, Tori, and Dustin were all head sensei's for their respective air, water, and earth element at the Wind Ninja Academy—their ranger teams base during their ranger days. Hunter himself had been promoted to head sensei of the Thunder Ninja Academy by his sensei, Sensei Omino who had retired, handing the reigns to him.

It was a responsibility that Hunter took seriously. Many of the students who were passing through recently were lost in life, coming from broken homes. Hunter got to know each student on a personal level. Always made sure to make himself available to each student if they needed him in or outside of the academy.

You were one of these students. It had only been about a month since you had signed up at the academy. Yet all Hunter saw was a vast amount of potential in you. In fact he was willing to bet everything on you succeeding him as head sensei of the Academy one day.

The blonde man was currently mid training taking note of you coming in late. Hunter didn't call it out. Public shame was not his style when dealing with a ninja academy student who was late. You also were not typically late. After he dismissed everyone he stopped you.

"Come with me."

The six foot mans tone was calming, not a hint of disappointment in his voice or face. Instead Hunter only looked concerned, blue eyes calm and inviting. He led you inside the ninja academy and to his office. It was the same as it was just the week prior when you had used the space to rest while ill.

"Is everything alright? It's not like you to be late."
