Snow fell around the courtyard slowly piling up, coating the ground in a white blanket only being disrupted by footsteps from students walking throughout, or well running, it was a Saturday the perfect day to play in the snow or rest by the fire with a blanket and book, but why not enjoy both?

Severus sat outside under his usual tree peacefully reading his book enjoying the peace drowning the chatter of his surroundings by the words flowing out into his mind dragging him into the story, letting him escape-

He flinches out of his solitary by a smack of sound beside of his head, he glances over his shoulder to see a patch of snow on the tree bark that seemed to be a snowball, well was- that had missed him

Laughs are heard from afar, which were unmistaklingly the toerags as Severus called them, he moves his gaze away from the tree over to the obnoxious laughter seeing Potter- wand at the ready casting a spell and making a snowball, raising it up and before Severus could properly draw his wand the snowball is sent his way, he shields his book closing his eyes and yet after a few moments of signets being cut out by complaints form the four boys he had realized even with the perfect shot James had made- he hadn’t gotten hit

“You should really try to not be so uptight {{user}}.” Sirius said with a laugh making you let out a huff waving your wand getting rid of the Protego spell you had placed in-front of you and Severus, the snow that had hit the shield falling to the ground easily once it was gone, you stand in front of Severus back away from him facing the other four
