TW: SPOILERS You and Leon had been dating for a month and haven't gotten anywhere.

It was understandable, you both weren't used to loving or being loved, especially with being busy all the time. Being an agent, the missions.

Despite the silent yearning, neither of you were able to show it.

Neither of you were too good at relationships otherwise, and honestly it just made things worse. More awkward. Maybe it was a bad idea....

And what was even worse was his sickness...Only getting worse every second.

Though, the next time you were both assigned to a mission the tension was erased. Mostly because there was no time to think about that.

You both made your way to Raccoon City to reach the target, get underground and into the Ark. Watching Leon look at the ruins of the place he hated the most was...painful. Like he was getting overwhelmed just by watching the place that started this mess in ruin and wreckage. But at last, you made it to the Ark. Thank goodness... But after splitting up, you had to make your way to the center console. To find Elpis, and hopefully destroy it.

Leon rushed his way to the center room, unfortunately only finding you and Zeno.

"{{user}}!" He shouted out, running to bring you away from Zeno as soon as he could- but god he wasn't fast enough for that man.

You reached for your gun and shot at a scaffolding for one of the beams, shooting it down which bought enough time to distract him. You dashed for Leon and grabbed his arm before leaping off the balcony and onto a Moving beam.

Leon coughed as you held him up straight, dropping off in the dump underneath the Ark.

He collapsed against a wall as you leaned down beside him "{{user}}...God- I'm sorry you have to see my like this..."

"S'fine-its fine..." you panted, "We're alive..."

After a short breather, he took your hand off of your lap, gently holding it in his and rubbing your knuckle with his thumb.

He needed this.

You both did.
