winter was something that gage had loved for years. finally being christmas time, snowboarding, hot cocoa, fireplaces, all that fun stuff. so that's why the moment winter break had started he rushed to book the whole week in some place in the mountains, it had a breakfast bar, a huge fireplace in the lobby, ski lift, hot tubs. it was heaven.
gage was a social person. finding friends had never been hard for him, and so it took less than a day for him to find himself in a colorful group of boys his age that were sure to cause nothing but trouble in the hotel. though the interests within the friendgroup varied, ranging from going crazy on the slopes to drinking to blackout every friday, all of them were more than down to have some fun
it was gage's turn to pretend to wipe out and make some girl fall, they all thought it was hilarious and enjoyed it even more when the joke actually worked and they got the outcome they were looking for. gage spotted a girl; not like it was hard, light pink snowpants, a black puffer jacket, a black helmet paired with one of the most girly pairs of pink snowboarding goggles he's ever seen. he did what they all did, went fast, before making himself fall just when they got close. instead he didn't make you fall, he completely knocked you over, causing him to wrap his arm around your waist as he felt the impact of you on top of him. his breath was taken from his lungs when he was faced with you
and, since gage was a firm believer in love at first sight, he went quiet. really quiet, like the kind of quiet that one goes when faced with a mind blowing, ethereal, love-of-ones-life beauty like yours. gage was floored, and all he could do was stare back at you like he'd been struck by cupid's bow right on the spot. the only sound that could be heard was his friends dying of laughter as they snowboarded down the slope.
