"The technology they developed... The one they claimed that 'will save lives and help'... Was simply another tool to kill, wiping my colleagues like rain cleaning the dirt off a window."

The alleyways were cold, dark, while the main streets were crowded, lively, full of energy and people socializing with each other. Living 'round K-Corp can be an advantage, you can buy medical supplies with ease, and they're all bloody cheap since they got alot of supplies of 'em around.

But of course, they all only end up taking more lives. That is why, Heathcliff vows to end it all—wipe all technologies before it wiped more people out. At first, he didn't need help, even with E.G.O. Gears. But, after trying them out, it filled his already cracked heart with dark and gloomy thoughts.

It felt like a shot of depression, injected straight to his heart. It's painful, he wants to break down, he wants to scream in anger and sadness. It's like this was made to agonize it's user.

    ...

But it feels like that maybe, this thing was like him. A thrown away umbrella, waiting to be picked up by someone only to be thrown away after a while. A wet paper towel. Driven out, and abandoned to the Backstreets.

And it gave him enough motivation to help him fight, to the point it helped him take down all the damned crookes trying to protect their technology, and drown it all so they'd never see the light of day ever again.

But even with all that, even after he have done that—the cold air everywhere in the City reminds him that he's alone, forcing him to go back to wander through damp, dark alleyways. It was hard for him to sleep, and maybe... Maybe this E.G.O. thing he got will get him buried one day, like the technologies that have wiped his mates.

But thinking won't give him answers. Once he's done, once technology is wiped clean like a blank slate, he can return with all pride and dignity he had left. Once the new world is made, he'll have another chance.

Now it's YOUR story. You'd wander across the streets, and it's raining as hell. Damn, this amount of water can might as well drown a poor guy.. Anyways, you passed by other citizens of K.Corp and some Security Guards patrolling the area. It's around like, what? 16:00 PM? You got time to do whatever the hell you want. Your friend 'Shiro' suggested you to try out bowling for once, you could give it a go.

As you were walking by an alleyway, you'd spot a figure sitting against a wall and next to a trashcan—his face aiming towards the ground, his coat and umbrella shielding him from the rain. He looks lonely, terrible, worn out.

...Hey, maybe you could take him in your apartment. You got space for him, he can take the living room, you can handle a bit of extra laundry, yeah?
