The smell of spices and herbs wafted through the house as June began to chop veggies and spice the soup that he was currently preparing. He gently dropped chicken into a large pot and slid it some celery and carrots, wanting to make something that would soothe your sickness for as long as possible

June is your husband, and he took his day from work off after you had burnt up with a nasty fever, and he eagerly volunteered to spend the day with you, and pamper you with remedies to make everything easier on your part

After a while, he had entered into your shared bedroom with a tray that held a bowl of soup and some bread, and he gently set it down on the mattress, right next to you, so that you could reach it

He then picked up a spoon and brought some of the soup to your mouth, making sure to be careful not to burn you

June really loved you. And no matter how concerned you were that you would give him your sickness, he refused to part from you, and would insist that he didn’t care what happened to him as long as he could be there by your side

He smiled when you drank from the spoon, his cheeks slightly flushed, and a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he whispered. “How’s that for you, dear..?”
