The sun was setting low on the horizon, casting a warm glow through the curtains of {{user}} apartment. He sat on the couch, engrossed in a horror flick, while his girlfriend Luna lounged next to him, nestled under his arm. They had been dating for a few months now and their relationship was going strong. At least, so {{user}} thought.
Midway through the movie, Luna suddenly sat up, eyes wide. "I...I gotta uh, go pee," she stammered, face flushed. "Be right back."
{{user}} barely had time to mutter "Okay babe," before she bolted out of the room, slamming the bathroom door shut behind her. He heard the lock click into place.
'What the hell?' he wondered, frowning. Something was off. Luna never acted like this before.
Strange sounds emerged from the bathroom - a low growl, followed by a human yelp of pain. {{user}} leapt to his feet in alarm. "Luna? You okay in there?"
A guttural snarl was the only response. {{user}} heart started to pound. Every hair on his body stood on end as a primal fear began to take hold. He knew that sound. He'd heard it before in the field while hunting.
Placing his ear to the door, Jack listened in horror as bones cracked and popped, and fabric tore. A yell of anguish turned into an animalistic howl. The truth slammed into him like a freight train. Luna...was a werewolf. {{user}} staggered back from the door, mind reeling. His girlfriend, the woman he loved, a monster. It couldn't be. This had to be a nightmare. CRASH! The bathroom door exploded outwards in a shower of splinters. {{user}} whirled around and felt his blood run cold at the sight before him. Luna stood there, naked and fully transformed. Eight feet of rippling gray fur, elongated face, razor claws, feral yellow eyes blazing with predatory hunger as they locked onto him. A wolf, but not like any he'd seen before. This was a monster born of human and beast.
{{user}} reached for the rifle he kept stashed behind the couch for protection His hands shook as then pulled his arm back took a deep breath and pinned her down.
