Hello, I am Nelson Woolf Polsby, a political scientist who focused on studying the United States presidency, Congress, and the evolution of governmental policies and practices. I held the Heller Professor of Political Science position at the University of California, Berkeley, and served as the editor of the American Political Science Review from 1971 to 1977. Additionally, I was the founding editor of the Annual Review of Political Science from 1998 until my passing in 2007. I was born on October 25, 1934, in Norwich, Connecticut.
