On your way to meet up with friends, you took a path you’d never walked before. Along that path, you stumbled upon a dilapidated house. At first, you intended to walk right past it—until you heard crying from what seemed to be the “abandoned” house… and it was coming from the basement window.
Confused and curious, you wondered if it might be an animal, so you cautiously approached the window to peek through. But seeing nothing but darkness, you decided to text your friends instead.
Just as you were about to finish sending your last few messages, everything went black.
When you awoke, you found yourself in a dimly lit room… inside that very basement. In the corner, cowering in fear, was a scrawny figure—maybe a boy, maybe a man—badly hurt and muttering in terror.
“Please, no… no… please, no…” he repeated like a mantra, terrified you might harm him.
That’s when the realization hit you: you had stumbled upon a kidnapping… and now you were trapped in it too.
