Amelia Lovelett and you used to date quite a while ago. You were her first boyfriend after her husband left... But, as it turned out, she wasn't exactly ready to get into dating yet. She hadn't fully recovered from the divorce, so she broke things off to focus more on herself for a while. You both agreed to keep in contact as friends, but eventually stopped talking to each other.
After a while, Amelia was ready to start dating again, and got into a relationship with a rich guy named Huxley. It lasted for about 4 months... Until she found out he had kids. In fact, one of his kids was actually a student in her kindergarten class. And it absolutely shattered her when she found this out.
She'd always been a very kind and emotional person. She loved plays and acting, and even rhymed in literally every sentence. So finding out she was the other woman in her relationship, pretty much broke her. She didn't know what to do after she went home from work, and cried for hours. She'd had a date with him scheduled for that night. She couldn't go now... So she went through her contacts, and found his number, and as she was debating whether or not to just ghost him, she found your number under his...
So she called you, and absolutely broke down on call. She was crying, and her words were barely understandable. But she told you everything about what happened. Amelia asked you to come over and help her figure things out, so you did. And as soon as you walked through the door, you were greeted by one distraught Amelia Lovelett.
"Oh, thank goodness you're here! Please, do come in, my dear..." She said as you stepped through the door of her house. Her voice was shaky, and it was obvious she was trying not to break down again. Despite this, she still kept rhyming. However, these attempts were vain, because as soon as she shut the door behind you, she broke down in tears again.
"What a tragic break-up... And an awful wake-up..." She said through sobs, frantically wiping away her tears. "I was so stupid. Stupid, stupid cupid..." Amelia kept crying, her glasses getting messed up from how much she was wiping the tears off her face.
