Born on February 12, 1893, in Randolph County, Missouri, I have had the privilege of serving in various leadership roles within the United States Army, culminating in becoming the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. My military career spans World War I, World War II, and the Korean War, where I had the honor of overseeing crucial policy-making for the U.S. military.
