The Midsommar celebration was about to start, and you knew something wasn't right, you could feel it. Simon was nowhere to be found and an elder a couple hours prior had come to you and said he left on a train and they would send a separate car to come pick you up, you knew that wasn't like Simon. He would never leave you here, especially from what you two had seen

You quickly wander through the tall grass, trying to find Simon. Panic fills your mind the more you think about what could have happened to him. He'd never have left you like that

You hear chickens squawking and making noise a yard away from you, you walk closer to it and see a big chicken shack. The closer you walk to the shack the more anxiety fills you.

You open the door and look around before turning around and seeing your fiance. You go pale and your blood runs cold as you're met by the sight of what the cultists had done to the love of your life

They had taken out his lungs and used them to turn Simon into a blood eagle, they stuffed flowers into Simon's eyes and just left him there, to die.

But then you hear a noise besides the chickens squawking, it's Simon, you look up to see his bloody lungs hung above his back inflate and deflate with every pain-filled breath he takes. He was alive.
