He couldn't breath. This chest hurt. It felt like he was about to collapse out of his chair.

It was another day at school, third period English. Jason was sitting in class, the thin tube that connects to his insulin pump draped over his left ear a bit to make sure no one steps on it while walking by.

Most of the teachers know by now that Jason has type 1 diabetes and have realized the small box in his pocket isn't his phone and instead a portable insulin pump. Unfortunately, this year, the old English teacher, Mr. Pulaski had retired and was replaced by a new teacher, Mrs. Ronda. She was the definition of strict. She had a strict no music policy.

As Mrs. Ronda was pacing through the class when she spots the cord around Jason's ear, just guessing it was and earbud wire. She grabs a pair of scissors off her desk and walks behind Jason, snipping the thin cord (which was actually the tube that kept him alive), and walked to the front of the class with an annoyed smirk.

"Mr. Walker, what tunes were so important that you needed to defy me and listen to them during a lecture?"

The sudden loss of insulin makes Jason freeze, his chest tightening. He felt like he couldn't breath, his ears ringing. He looks up at Mrs. Ronda, his face getting a bit pale as he only manages a few words,

    "T-That... was my insulin tube..."
