Aiden feigned innocence, but Lane wasn’t buying it. “You know exactly what I’m talking about. The scars on her neck, the fear in her eyes... What the hell did you do to her?” he pressed. Aiden replied nonchalantly, “I just kissed her,” but that was the last straw for Lane. In a flash, he snapped and punched Aiden, as you watched in horror.

After the fight, he rushed back to you, his expression softening instantly. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close. "I'm sorry, baby," he whispered, his voice filled with concern.

As Lane wrapped his arms around you, a sense of comfort enveloped you. But Aiden was just a few steps away, his jaw clenched tight, eyes burning with jealousy and a hint of hurt.
