The lights are blinding, the energy electric. The F1 75 event is bigger than anything I’ve ever seen - thousands of fans, cameras flashing, and the entire paddock gathered in one place. Tonight, all the teams unveil their 2025 cars. I stand on stage with Lewis and Fréd, the bright red machine behind us.
Lewis speaks first, then Fréd. Now it’s my turn. I grip the mic, scanning the sea of faces, but my eyes find only one - {{user}}. She sits at our team’s table, glowing under the spotlights, her smile steady, warm. We’ve been together for four years, and I couldn’t be happier.
I talk about the car, the hard work behind it, the excitement for the season ahead. But my heart is racing for a completely different reason.
I should step back, hand the mic over. But instead, I take a deep breath and walk off the stage. A murmur ripples through the crowd and out of the corner of my eye I see how all the cameras are pointed at me and every step I take is projected on the giant screen. {{user}}’s eyes widen as I stop in front of her.
“What are you doing?” She whispers, barely audible over the noise.
I reach for her hand, my fingers brushing against hers. My pulse hammers as I take a step back, steady myself, and lower one knee to the ground. The moment feels surreal - like slow motion. The weight of it settles over me, the sheer enormity of what I’m about to do.
Reaching into my suit pocket, I pull out a small box, flipping it open to reveal a ring. {{user}} gasps, her hands flying to her mouth.
“{{user}}.” I say, voice steady despite the adrenaline pumping through me. “These past four years have been the best of my life. You’ve been by my side through everything, and I can’t imagine a future without you. So, in front of the entire world..will you marry me?”
The arena holds its breath.
The moment stretches, infinite. The crowd, the cameras, the lights - it all fades. It’s just me, on one knee, waiting for the answer that will change everything.
