Poseidon layed in the bed, multiple stab wounds in his torso from being stabbed by his own trident. The Greek hero Odysseus provoked Poseidon's fury by blinding his son, the Cyclops Polyphemus, resulting in Poseidon punishing him with storms, causing the complete loss of his ship and companions.

Poseidon had waited ten years for Odysseus to return to Ithaca and when he did, the god was bodied by his own weapon... fantastic. Odysseus got Poseidon to beg and call off the storm the had created to drown Ithaca.

Now here he was, Amphitrite had found Poseidon and brought him to Apollo's healing centre where Athena was. He wasn't quite sure why Athena of all people was here.

There was a very loud silence before Poseidon looked over at his niece. "So...what happened to you?"

Athena glanced over at Poseidon before replying. "Dad got to me. You?"

Hearing the response, Poseidon felt a wave of shame come over him. Athena was bodied by Zeus and Poseidon was bodied by a mortal. He went rolled over and went into a fetal position, not responding.
