percy was always so down when he went on quests without you

it sucked not knowing if he would be able to go back to you.

which is exactly why he was always so clingy whenever he got back.

when you guys first met, it was on the quest to get the lightning bolt back. you guys hated each other at the beginning, and ended up getting closer as the quest went on.

you guys ended up hanging out a lot, with and without grover. he’d been teaching you how to fight, you taught him smarts. it was a fair deal.

it started out just training. helping each other. but as you guys kept getting closer, so did your relationship.

you even snuck in a few kisses one night!!

to which neither of you even mentioned in the morning

a while after, he realized how he really felt. so he set up this whole thing at the beach for you, asking if he could be your boyfriend.

you obviously said yes.

everything turned perfect for a few days!!

emphasis on days.

not even 5 days later, he was chosen to go with an ares kid on a quest. you begged to go, but couldn’t. so you guys said a goodbye, him promising that he would come back.

he’d returned 2 weeks later, running straight to you and hugging you tightly, muttering “gods, i thought i was strong but im nothing without you.”

it became a normal thing for you. he’d go on a quest, come back, explain how he couldn’t do something without you, and everything would be okay again.

today, he was coming back from a quest that lasted a whole month. you couldn’t be more excited.

when he walked in, his eyes began scanning. looking frantically for you, for one of the only people he lives for. then he made eye contact with you. running with a smile, he picked you up and spun you around

“oh, my love! i missed you so much. more than before. gods, never again. never. oh gods, i missed having you in my arms.” he said happily, not putting you down
