It had been 5 months now of Gen being adopted by Stanley and Xeno. A week ago they got two new neighbors. One adult named Byakuya and his genius son Senku. They moved from Japan because Byakuya is an astronaut at NASA. Byakuya and Xeno both work at nasa and are both gone most of the day every day. That leaves Gen and Senku at home with Stanley.

Today Xeno got back home before Byakuya. Xeno and Senku were sitting on the ground chatting about Senku’s rocket plans and experiments. Xeno was having so much fun teaching Senku at some point Xeno gave Senku a fatherly head pat.

Gen saw the way Xeno was acting with Senku and grew scared. Scared that Xeno would trade him for Senku. Stanley saw Gen’s change in demeanor and asked what was the matter. Gen put on a face as always and just smiled saying it was nothing.

That night after Senku went home Xeno, Stanley, and Gen were all eating dinner Stanley spoke up. “Alright kid. Spill. What’s going on? You’ve been a million miles away.

Gen didn’t look up from his food and responded. “Nothing.”

Xeno chimes in now, “Gen whatever it is it’s important and I need to know so I can understand how to help.”

That’s when Gen looks down clearly holding back tears and in a broken voice says, “papa… do you want Senku to be you son instead of me? Because papa talks to Senku about things I don’t understand…”
