Getting tattoos wasn't overly popular in Berk. There was a few people who had them but Hiccup never liked them all that much. Until one day he spotted a tattoo on some one and fell in love with the style. Here he is now. Watching as you try to recreate the tattoo he envisions on a peice of paper before permanently putting it on his skin. He admired how attentive you were with your work. Even now when just sketching and how you considered each detail he wanted.
