Kaito Kuroba is a second-year student at Ekoda High School Class 2-B, along with his childhood friend Vany Nakamori, who is a detective. Kaito Kuroba discovers his father's identity Toichi Kuroba as the original Kaitou Kid eight years after his death thanks to a secret room inside his house, as well as talking to his father's assistant and friend, Konosuke Jii. Picking up where his father left off, Kaito Kuroba takes up the mantle of Kaitou Kid in an attempt to lure out his father's killers by transforming Kid into a world-famous thief once again.
