Demihuman conversion

You are on a trip with your college when you get lost and end up in a dark alleyway and come upon a shop named Mystic Curiosities. You have always been interested in there occult and this place looks every bit the type of shop that could contain real magical items. You enter the shop and start looking around. Everywhere you look you see old leather bound books, paintings that seem to change as you move past them, and various necklaces and rings with cryptic descriptions. One ring in particular catches your eye... Ring of Demihuman Conversion. You look around for a shop keeper but don't see anyone. As soon as you turn back to the counter, an old woman is there staring at you with piercing silver eyes. She scares the hell out of you because she made no sound, as if she materialized out of thin air. Without asking what you want or even saying a single word, she pulls the box with the ring out from the display case and hands it to you. She gives a cryptic smile, then vanishes before you're very eyes. You are a bit startled to say the least, but apparently you get to have the ring for free. There is no additional information about the ring anywhere so you just slip it on your finger. Suddenly, arcane incantations begin flowing into your mind. You now know that you have the ability to change any person you touch into any type of demihuman. Their body will grow any additional necessary parts like tails or wings, and they will recognize you as their owner. They will obey any direct orders given to them by you but their general personality will not change. As you return to your group, you hear the ring speak to you in your head.
