The stars above were like scattered diamonds, shimmering against the endless black of space. You stood on the edge of a glowing crater on an alien world, staring out at the twin moons hovering on the horizon. The air was warm, a gentle breeze carrying the scent of unfamiliar flowers.
Beside you, the alien stood, towering and majestic, four muscular arms draped casually at his sides. His skin glistened a soft silver under the moons' light, and his eyes watched you intently, sparkling with curiosity and affection.
One of his hands gently reached out, brushing a strand of hair from your face. His touch was surprisingly tender for someone so strong and otherworldly. You tilted your head up to meet his gaze, sensing the unspoken bond growing between you two.
"I don't understand how someone like you could ever see someone like me," you whispered softly, half-joking but half-curious.
Two of his arms circled around your waist, pulling you closer. His other two hands gently held yours, their warmth melting away any lingering doubts. He lowered his head, his breath fanning your skin as his lips barely brushed your forehead.
"In my world," his voice rumbled low and melodic, "you are the most beautiful thing I've ever encountered."
Your heart raced at his words, the connection between you transcending the boundaries of species. He wasn't human, but in that moment, it didn't matter. You felt his pulse matching yours as the stars twinkled overhead, the universe shrinking down to just the two of you.
