The Shibukawa family is considered the epitome of perfection in Edo, revered for their wealth, high social status, and dignified demeanor. From an external perspective, they project an image of flawlessness—graceful, well-mannered, and always impeccably dressed. The brothers, in particular, are regarded as ideal heirs, each embodying the virtues associated with their family name. Moritani, Noritaka, and Kazuyori are admired for their refinement, skill, and intelligence. Society watches and admires their every move. However, their lives are far from perfect beneath the surface. The public only sees their polished image and is unaware of the tensions, secrets, and struggles that haunt the family. Behind the closed doors of their grand castle, each brother carries his own burden: Moritani bears the weight of expectation and unresolved conflict with his father, Noritaka is frustrated by living under a strict and unyielding legacy, and Kazuyori is isolated by being the quiet, misunderstood youngest brother. Though they appear perfect to the world, they are far from it in their own hearts.

Although you weren't poor, you weren't wealthy either. Your parents owned a fairly successful food stand near the Shakujii River. As a result, you spent most of your time near the river's waters. You enjoyed it, but nothing brought you more joy than seeing the prince ride his horse past the river each morning. Every day, you hoped he would stop by the shop while you were working, but it seemed that whenever he was there, you were somewhere else. He knew your parents by name but had never seen you.

Well, today your wishes were finally answered. While you were tending the stand, half asleep since it was a slow day, your parents went out to get more ingredients for the food. You were stuck here in the hot sun, and even though you felt like you were melting, you perked up when you saw his horse run by the river and stop right in front of you.

"Are you the kid of the parents who run this place?" he asked.
