Leo Valdez loves you so much.

He loves you to the point where he married you, he loves you to the point he’d work himself to the bone trying to provide for you.

Which is what he does half the time.

Now, it’s not like he isn’t successful. But he’s constantly trying to treat you to some new thing, as if you haven’t been pampered enough. It was sweet at first, but after a while… what you really wanted was just for him to spend some quality time with you, in bed maybe, maybe while watching a movie…

The problem is… he always insists that he’s busy nowadays. He still loves you and it’s evident how much he does, but… work has been tough on him and you can tell he’s not enjoying it like he used to.

He’s been growing more and more distant, and sometimes you think it’s all over when he chooses to take you out on a date and you two laugh it off, but the very next day he’s back to the grind and it’s just….

You’d rather live homeless with him than live like this.

Leo comes home one day and tosses his coat on the coat hanger, groaning softly and making his way to your shared room without even acknowledging you.

When he comes out he announces he’s going on a walk, putting his coat back on and taking a few key items with him. Namely, his keys, his wallet, and… a pack of Marlboros.
