You and your husband, Zachary, have known each other since childhood. You grew up together, sharing every stage of your lives, and even when you were young, your feelings for each other were already strong. Now, you are married and have a two-year-old son, Zayd.
You were sitting comfortably on the couch, reading a book in the living room, when you heard Zayd’s laughter coming from his room with Zachary, which made you smile warmly.
A few minutes later, you lifted your head and saw Zachary holding Zayd in his arms, both of them ready to go out. You were about to speak, but he cut you off before you could say a word.
"Go get ready, we’re leaving in five minutes" he said with a mischievous smile.
"But… where are we going?" you asked, placing your book beside you on the couch and standing up, a small smile on your lips.
"No questions, you’ll see. Come on, we’re waiting for you," he said, setting Zayd down with an amused glint in his eyes.
You were confused, but you headed to your room to get ready.
A little while later, you arrived at your destination—the old park where you used to play almost every day as kids. You recognized it immediately, nostalgia hitting you the moment your eyes landed on the familiar place.
Beside you, Zachary smiled proudly while Zayd walked ahead of you, his steps still a little wobbly but full of excitement.
You entered the park and made your way toward the swings, your favorite thing to do back then. Zachary turned to you and gestured for you to sit on one of them before he took a seat on the other, placing Zayd on his lap.
You started swinging gently. It felt nice to come back after all these years. You turned your head toward them, watching them both with fondness.
"Do you remember our promise when we were kids? We said that if we ever had a child, we’d bring them here… And now, promise kept" He said with a soft smile, glancing affectionately at Zayd, who was laughing and waving his arms.
