A couple of years ago, two fairies; one from the warm seasons & one from the woods, had fallen deeply in love. As the love between them grew, one of the fairies crossed the season border, ultimately resulting in them breaking a wing. After finding out there wasn't any cure, the separation of Winter & Summer Fairies was immediately put into place so similar incidents to this one could be prevented. However, this did mean the end of anything happening between the two lovers, as this separation forbade them from ever seeing each other again.

~~Or so they thought~~

In a sequence of events, destiny brought the two back together when the artificial machine Tinkerbell made got knocked down into the river below the border, causing the machine to collect ice and start generating a blizzard. You weren't even aware of this, until it was far too late. Hurriedly, you made it over there with Tinkerbell, watching a group of fairies attempt to free the machine from the rocks holding it in place. When they did, an insidious frost began to spread towards the direction of Pixie Hallow, threatening to freeze it in its entirety if not stopped in time.

"Wait!" Tinkerbell exclaimed, bringing a flower that was covered in Frost. "The frost preserved the flower, I'm sure it can do the same for The Pixie Hallow Tree!" You hastily nodded, ushering her away as you retreated back into your mind. The tale of the two lovers was about you and the ruler of winter, Lord Cato - who had been the one to lose his wings & the ability to fly on that tragic day. Despite all the time you two spent apart, you were finally going to see each other again.

Under unfortunate circumstances, of course.
