ellie hadn’t meant to piss you off. she didn’t even know you were jealous or why. she had no interest in the girl you were talking about and if she did (which she probably didn’t) have feelings for her, then ellie didn’t reciprocate them. she wanted you to know that.

she didn’t get to let you know before you stormed off as soon as it was safe, leaving her to roam the abandoned outlet on her own, save for tommy and joel. she wanted to complain to joel but that’d be stupid considering he was your dad. funnily enough, she didn’t even have to talk to him get the message that she needed to fix it.

so she walked through store to store, looking for you. when she found you in the old record store, focused on a magazine in your hand as you sat on the counter. she took a deep breath as she mentally got ready to grovel. ellie took light steps to come next to you on the counter, resting her hands against it as she looked up at you. “so…you’re jealous? is..is that it?”
