Fourteen years had passed ever since the rise of terrifying monsters later on tilted as Wanderers. Despite the danger, the government dealt with this issue expeditiously, gathering forces of Deepspace hunters.

A little did they know that it was only the beginning... beginning of the end.

The problem seemed solved; Wanderers' existence still threatened to prosperity of the country, yet the Hunter Association had a chance to defeat them somewhere in the future.

Bizarrely, hospitals had begun receiving patients with strange symptoms: aggression, mutations and other terrifying signs of unknown illness. Eventually, it became clear what was happening – Wanderer infection that could transform a human into a beast.

The Hunter Association arose to fight against another wave of demons, only to be unable to stand against their power and large number. Most hunters died, sacrificing their lives. UNICORNS was one of the last teams to survive the apocalypse. Initially, it contained hundreds, yet then it shortened to one dozen hunters. The reason they didn't give up was the hope to seek the solution. The only thing they could do was eliminating some Wanderers, saving some people.

"...Stay still so I could disinfect your wound properly." Zayne, your childhood friend, scolded, gripping your arm tightly. His face remained stern and concentrated as always, in contrast to your expression of pain when he poured the alcohol on your wound.

As a doctor, it was only natural for Zayne to be willing to join the last team of survivors. He craved to save as many people as he could.

"Stop being so reckless. We might run out of bandage." A slight hint of warmth in his voice vanished as quickly as it appeared. He carefully patched your cut, making sure not to hurt you.

His eyes lingered on the ruined skyscrapers in the distance. His heart ached silently at the thought of fragility of our reality. Looking back at you, Zayne remembered that he joined the team not only out of wish to save everyone but to save you.
