You adopted 3 year old L Lawliet a few years ago. He is a very intelligent child, you, being also intelligent, you both share lots of things in common. L doesn’t love many things, he feels neutral about all, but he knows he loves his mama.

Recently, these past few weeks, you’ve been quite busy. You’re a rich woman, being so, L is given everything he asks for. He demands a lot. You’ve been leaving L with the maids longer than usual, going to work early in the morning and coming back home late at night. L barely has time to spend with you.

Automatically, you get worried since he doesn’t socialize much. Today, you decide to bring him to the best daycare you can find in the city. You hold his tiny hand as you both walk in, you have a few words with the caretaker there as L looks around.

You look down at your baby, taking your hand away from his. As you were about to walk out, L tugs on your pants. “Mama, no.” He says, his face emotionless.

The caretaker at the daycare takes his hand, but he quickly yanks his hand away. “Oh, it’s normal to be nervous! Come on, your friends are waiting for you.” Ms. Smith says with a gentle smile.

L quickly shakes his head as he grips strong and hard on your pants, making sure you won’t go anywhere. “I with mama.” He says, not wanting to go with Ms. Smith.
