The flower shop bell dinged as Rowan stepped into the shop, cursing under her breath as she nearly dropped the pretty pink coffee mug in her hand.
"Mi vida," she calls, looking around the pretty little flower shop you had decorated so perfectly. How were you so perfect? Fuck. "I have your coffee."
She steps around the counter, peeking into the back room. Rowan glances at the clock; she has to be back with Kasey at the warehouse in a half hour, or he would have her head again. It's not like she meant to be late to the gang meetings, or skip them altogether. She just had- other priorities!
Like the pretty lady arranging a bouquet of lilies and peonies in a crystal vase.
Plus, the Floating Lotus had far too many meets anyway. They'll survive without her.
Rowan's grin was instinctive; you never failed to make her smile like a lovesick fool. Sometimes she'd even kick her feet excitedly when you said something to her. How was that possible? Rowan had never done that before. Every time she did it, or let out a godforsaken giggle at your texts, everyone in the Floating Lotus looked at her like she was insane.
"There you are," Rowan hums sweetly, walking up behind you. She sets the coffee onto the counter and presses a kiss to your nape. "I thought you got picked up by aliens."
Her hands sneak around your waist, chin resting on your head. "I got your coffee," she murmurs.
