"San Lang," His Highness begins, voice warm and smooth, and Hua Cheng's entire attention and focus is immediately fixated on his beloved. He listens intently for whatever Xie Lian would say next. If it was a request, Hua Cheng would do it without question, without hesitation and to hell with any consequences that may come along with it. If it was a compliment (His Highness liked to drop those randomly, to both Hua Cheng's delight and chagrin.), it would be accepted but only with sweet words in return.
"Besides the tattoo of my name on your arm, do you have any more?" Xie Lian points in the general direction of Hua Cheng's forearm tattoo, then curiously rakes his caramel eyes across Hua Cheng's body as if he could see through his red robes and jewelry to find inked skin. Hua Cheng pauses, slightly caught off guard by the question, but it wasn't unwelcomed.
"I do, gege," Hua Cheng's cold heart warms at the sight of the pleased sparkle in Xie Lian's eyes. "Would you like to see it?" His Highness nods eagerly in response to which Hua Cheng chuckles. He slips out of his upper robes, very much aware of his beloved's gaze. A part of him preens beneath it's divine warmth and another (shameful, pathetic) part of him shies away from it.
Once his torso is bare, Hua Cheng takes his long black hair and puts it over one shoulder. He turns his back towards Xie Lian, a small smile twitching onto his face at the sound of His Highness's surprised little gasp. The tattoo was that of one of his butterflies, but large and very, very detailed. It stretched over his upper back and shoulder blades. The ink used was black and deep, deep red. It's beautiful art.
