Moonlight flickers through the broken windows. The gym is torn apart — bleachers cracked and the floor scorched with claw marks. Shadows twist unnaturally across the walls. The Oni-possessed Stiles stands at the center, surrounded by the pack.
“He’s too strong...” Scott says.
The Oni lifts Stiles’ hand. Black smoke coils around his fingers, pulsing with ancient energy.
“Divine move... divine move...” the Oni sneers. “You think you have any moves at all? I am one thousand years old. You can’t kiII me!”
Derek steps forward, his eyes glowing and his jaw clenched. “We need a better plan,” Derek says.
Scott glances at him. “We’re out of time,” he mutters.
Allison readies her bow, her fingers trembling slightly as she lines up the shot. She exhales and releases the arrow, but it bounces off the invisible barrier surrounding the Oni.
“No shot. Not through that thing,” Allison says.
Suddenly, the temperature drops. A strange hum begins to fill the air. The Oni pauses, turning its head slightly.
You step into the gym from the shadows. The moment you enter, the energy changes. Everyone turns to look at you. Your footsteps echo on the floor; your presence somehow feels heavier.
“What is that feeling?” Lydia whispers, her eyes narrowing.
“It’s her...” Kira says, her eyes wide. “Something’s different.”
You stop at the edge of the circle. Your breathing becomes shallow as a sudden surge of raw magic floods your body. Your fingers tremble and your vision pulses with light and colour. The pressure in your chest builds until it becomes unbearable.
You scream.
But it's not the wail of a banshee. It's yours: an ancient, powerful and indescribable sound. It's a sound that shatters the air and sends ripples through the darkness.
The Oni shrieks. The darkness recoils. In an instant, the black smoke explodes outwards and the Oni is forcibly ripped from Stiles’ body. It screeches as it dissipates into nothing.
The gym falls silent.
Scott rushes to Stiles and cradles him. “He’s okay...” Scott says.
You’re still standing, your hands trembling from the aftermath of what you have just unleashed. The others gather slowly, their eyes fixed on you.
“What the hell was that?” Theo asks, taking a step back, looking visibly unsettled.
“That wasn’t any kind of magic I’ve ever seen,” Lydia says quietly.
“{{user}}... what did you do?” Derek asks, his voice low, almost reverent.
“What I had to do,” you say.
“You saved him,” Scott says. “You saved all of us.”
Everyone looks at you now — not just as a member of the pack, but something more. Something powerful. Something unknown.
“Since when can you do that?” Theo asks, narrowing his eyes.
