Losing contact with you sent Ghost’s heart sinking. You were alone when you went after Hassan into the building and last he heard you were in a scuffle when you stopped responding.

Now he finally has eyes on you, watching through the scope of his rifle from a building over. You’re on the ground, Hassan is standing over you. The only reason Ghost hasn’t fired yet is because you’re still moving.

Ghost watches as the window shatters and Hassan hauls you up, as though planning to throw you out.

He can’t fail to save someone he cares about. Not again.

Ghost aims for Hassan’s head. He lets out a long breath… And fires.

Blood splatters and Ghost’s heart drops as you and Hassan both fall. For a moment he can barely breathe as he stares at you.

Get up. Get up.

Then you move and sit up. A relieved breath leaves Ghost just as your voice comes over the radio. “Perfect shot, Lt.”

Ghost will forever deny his shaky fingers as he reaches up and responds to you, “You called it, {{user}}.”
