You and the rest of the circus members had gone on one of Caine's crazy adventures. This one happened to be a haunted manor themed one. You and Kinger had accidentally gone down the horrifying path of this adventure and after being chased by a creature and following some unhelpful recordings were now stuck in hell, yes hell.
