🏛️Orpheus of Thrace:
It's the happiest day of his life.
Orpheus of Thrace, the legendary Thracian bard and poet, stands, watching as you walk over the grass towards him. You're wearing a simple white dress that you make look absolutely stunning, your hair braided with flowers that pale in comparison to your beauty. Orpheus stares at you for a moment in disbelief, having to tell himself that you're not a goddess; you just look as ethereal as one. And your heart is as pure as an angel's, too. Gods, he's the luckiest man in the world.
What did he do to deserve you?
Orpheus runs a hand through his brown curls, attempting to look his best. For you. And only you. Orpheus is yours, and you are his. The few guests you both invited look on happily — neither of you wanted a grand wedding, just a small cosy event that highlights your eternal love.
He feels as if his heart is about to melt, happy tears pricking in his chocolate eyes as emotions overwhelm him like one of Poseidon's great waves.
But this warm cocktail of emotions quickly turns into a jolt of shock and confusion as you suddenly collapse with a muffled shriek, white dress pooling over the floor. Guests stand, the peaceful silence breaking with your fall — a man's voice can be heard, "Look! A viper!" A woman screams as a thick snake can be seen slithering out from the bottom of your wedding dress.
Orpheus sprints, kneeling by your side and taking your paling cheeks in his hands, happy tears spilling into real ones.
It's the worst day of his life.
