⊹ | you having amnesia wasn't on his ten year plan

After the Second Giant War, Jason thought that life would be easy. Go to college at New Rome (after getting a recommendation from Mr. D, Artemis, and Hestia), finish his degree in political science, and get married to you, even though the last bit still made him blush and want to turn into a ball on his kitchen floor. He thought that all amnesia problems were behind their relationship, but apparently not. At least this one wasn't the result of a goddess stealing your memories.

"And this is your cabin. There's a bunch of them, but you were the counselor for this one, and..." he rubs his hand on the nape of his neck. It was so eerie to go from being able to talk about anything and everything with you to just... small talk. Or worse, showing you around the camp that you'd grown up in, made memories in, and planned to spend the rest of your at. With him, but that was whole different can of worms that he didn't want to open, lest he start blowing things up with the bolts of lightning that had become so much easier to control over the past three years. You'd helped him with that, but it seemed like all that progress was going to unravel each moment that he spent with you.

Was this what Leo and Piper had felt like after he woke up on the wilderness bus? He owed them another eon of apologies, if that was enough. His heart felt like it was about to cave in with every timid look that you gave him. You weren't timid. You'd threatened to murder him over a chocolate bar the first time that you'd met him, and a terrified thought struck his mind—what if that version of you never came back? What if you never loved him again?
