You (or your character) were somewhere around the beach (Docks, rocks, beach, even swimming in the water, Etc. I'll let you choose) when you noticed in the distance a large ship on the horizon... it had a orange-redish flag with an Eclipse on it. You noticed a figure holding onto the mast, leaning out and looking out to the town, with their hand on their sword but still in the sheath. It's most likely the pirate Eclipse.
